During this stressful time of elections and beyond, please consider taking this imaginative, contemplative prayer journey through the 50 U.S. States. Deepening our appreciation of the vast beauty of the land, water, air, plant life, and animal life of our country and of our utter dependence on them for our own life and civilization can help us gain perspective to promote peace and love in our world. It may seem tedious to go through each state this way, but it works cumulatively and subtly to change one’s perspective about our country rather than thinking about it in terms of all the blue and red maps that we will see so often with the elections.
